Our client Mersey Rail required the resurfacing of pedestrian walkways over a bridge, reception area and the entrance to public lifts. Due to the heavy public use and restricted timescales with health and safety paramount our solution was to use the Safetrack SC in Ashfelt Grey colour. This was completed from 12 midnight to 5am over 2 consecutive nights and had to be in back in full public use for 5am each day.
Existing surface was cleaned and ready for primer par 1 application.
Existing surface cleaned and ready for the application of the par 1 primer.
Par 1 primer was applied to the existing surface , then Safetrack SC was applied over the primer. The Safetrack was the ideal solution as there is minimum disruption, minimal workforce therefore cost effective without losing on quality it is very hard wearing, slip resistant, stain resistant, does not fade and is superior to any other method. Due to weight restrictions on the bridge our system is laid in a thin coating so does not contribute to the weight of the bridge but does not detract from its hardwearing qualities and can withstand the riggers of wear for a minimum period of 5 years. We also applied Safetrack over a metal platform to the entrance of the lifts this gives a superior finish to the metal. Our client had been struggling to get a product to adhere to the smooth metal and was happy with the result.
